Skyline? Is that even a movie? When did they release it? Don't try to stress your brain. This was not on my list too. It's one of those uncalled-for half-day leaves which led me to watch this movie. Sure I don't need any particular reason to take a half day leave as such, but that day there was a genuine reason. I took half day leave for some work in collector's office. I got the required documents from there and submitted them in the Hyundai showroom. (the collector's office part wasn't as easy as to conclude in one sentence, just out of the scope of this post, some other time maybe) . १. एक रोबॉट मानवाला इजा करत नाही , अथवा निष्क्रीय राहून मानवाला इजा होऊ देत नाही. २. एक रोबॉट मानवाच्या सगळ्या आज्ञांचे पालन करतो, जोवर या आज्ञांमुळे पहिल्या नियमाचे उल्लंघन होत नाही. ३. एक रोबॉट स्वतःच्या अस्तित्वाचे रक्षण करतो, जोवर ते करताना पहिल्या किंवा दुसऱ्या नियमाचे उल्लंघन होत नाही. डॉ. वसीकरण म्हणजे आपला सुपरस्टार रजनीकांत, चा रोबॉट (इंधिरण), चिट्टी.. या नियमांना अनुसरून बनवण्यात आलेला नाही. कारण त्याला भारतीय लष्करासाठी, शत्रूला संपवण्यासाठी बनवण्यात आलेला आहे. आयझक असिमोव्ह ने उधृत केलेल्या रोबोटिक्स च्या वरील नियमांना बगल दिली तर तर काय होऊ शकते, हा विषय नवीन नाहीये. विल स्मिथच्या I Robot मध्ये आपण ते पाहिलेही आहे. I Robot मध्ये, भावना असलेला रोबॉट (Sonny) पण होता आणि तद्दन तर्कसंगत विचार करून या नियमांना झुगारून देणारी WIKI पण होती.. होता.. जे असेल ते.. पण मानवाला मुळात एका यंत्रात भावना देण्याची गरजच का पडावी..? हा प्रश्न माझ्या माहितीत तरी हॉलीवूड ने हि हाताळला नाही. शंकर चा हा सिनेमा, माझ्यासाठी इथेच वेगळी पातळी गाठतो. एका प्रसंगामधून अगदी नेमकेपणाने या प्रश्नाच...

लहानपणी, म्हणजे साधारण सातवी आठवीत असताना रविवार सकाळी हि धून ऐकून जाग यायची. जुन्या लोकांसाठी बी आर चोप्रांचे "महाभारत" आणि रामानंद सागर यांचे "श्रीकृष्ण" याच्यात कोण भारी याच्यावर चर्चा, आणि माझ्यासारख्या पिटुकल्यांना स्पेशल इफेक्ट युक्त छान छान गोष्टी. हे श्रीकृष्ण तसे चांगलेच होते, पण मध्ये मध्ये रामानंद सागर येवून नुसतेच बोलायचे, कधी कधी अर्धा तास बोलायचे, लय बोर व्हायचे मग. याची आठवण का यावी मधेच.. तर झाले असे कि मागे काही दिवसांपूर्वी कुठल्यातरी वाहिनीवर परत हि धून ऐकली आणि म्हटले पाहू तरी आता कसे वाटते श्रीकृष्ण बघून. अवतार आणि मेट्रिक्स सारखे सिनेमे बघायची सवय झालेल्या डोळ्यांना त्या लो बजेट स्पेशल इफेक्ट ची मजा काय कळणार आता? तरीही कुठल्या तरी गोष्टीनी खिळवून ठेवले. अर्धा तास अगदी ब्रेक सकट तो भाग पाहिला. तो भाग होता कालयवन वधाचा. अगदी वरवर गोष्टच सांगायची म्हटली तर.. जरासंध कृष्णाच्या हात धुवून मागे लागलेला. तशात तो कालयवन नावाच्या दुष्ट राजाची मदत घेतो. हा कालयवन महापराक्रमी, साक्षात कृष्णाला पण सळो कि पळो करून सोडतो. कृष्ण पण हुशार माणूस, तो त्याला ...
