  हजारो वर्षांचा तथाकथित दैदिप्यमान इतिहास आणि वैभव असलेली ही भारतभूमी शेकडो वर्षे परकियांच्या आक्रमणासमोर हतबल का झाली? कुणीच का टिकू शकले नाही? या प्रश्नाला बरेच कंगोरे आहेत. "हजारो वर्षांचा तथाकथित दैदिप्यमान इतिहास आणि वैभव असलेली ही भारतभूमी" प्रश्नाच्या या भागात थोडा खोचकपणा जाणवतो. दैदिप्यमान इतिहास म्हणजे नक्की किती काळासाठी होता हे कसे ठरवणार? कारण गेल्या ७५ वर्षासारख्या तुलनेने कमी कालखंडात देखील भारतात ६५ चे युद्ध, ७१ चे युद्ध, आणीबाणी, दंगली, अणुस्फोट, दुष्काळ, लायसेन्स राज, भ्रष्टाचार घोटाळे, आयटी क्रांती, आनंदवनासारख्या सेवेकरी संस्था, शेतकरी आत्महत्या, मध्यमवर्गाचा उदय, उदारीकरण असे कितीतरी चांगलया आणि वाईट घडामोडी घडल्या. तर "हजारो" वर्षांमध्ये काय काय घडले असेल. काही गोष्टी चांगल्या असतील काही वाईट. या सर्वांमधून किमान "भारतभूमी" ही ओळख अंशतः तरी आपण टिकवून ठेवली म्हणून सोयीसाठी म्हणूया "हजारो वर्षांचा दैदिप्यमान". आता तथाकथित या शब्दावर येऊ. एखाद्या राष्ट्राला दैदिप्यमान इतिहास आहे किंवा नाही हे कोण ठरवते? - बऱ्याचदा त्या त्या र...

A few years ago, if anyone had asked me that they had a requirement of identifying objects from the photographs, I would have probably thought of computer vision to accomplish that. The accuracy of the result would be highly dependent on the image quality, orientation, and presence of other objects in the picture. I would have thought of building a complete dataset of the possible combinations and it would have taken me weeks to even get started on something like OpenCV.
